Three different levels of French courses are now offered in the late afternoons or in the evening to accomodate teachers' schedules

French As A Second Language Educational Certificate

The FSLE Certificate is designed both for education students working towards a Bachelor of Education Degree as well as for teachers currently teaching French in Grades 4 through 9. The course requirements in the FSLE Certificate are those of a French Minor in the Elementary Education Route and the program provides for certification to teach French to Grades 4 to 9. This program responds to the increasing need for FSL teachers province-wide and more particularly in our region, a need which has sprung from the proposed language learning requirement for grades 4 through 9 which is in the process of being implemented in our area and throughout the province of Alberta.
