How to renew resources
Renewing the resources that you have borrowed from the FLRC is very easy. There are three ways to renew to your resources :
1. Go on your public library website to access TRAC (The Regional Automated Consortium) or you can go directly at www.tracpac.ab.ca. Click on the "MY ACCOUNT" tab. Enter your username/barcode (the barcode from your library card) and your password (the last 4 numbers of your phone number, unless you changed your password). Click on "ITEMS OUT" under the header "MY RECORDS". To renew selected items, click the box next to the items you wish to renew, then click "Renew Selected Items". You can also renew all your items by clicking on the "Renew All Items".
2. You can call the library directly during business hours and ask the circulation staff to renew your resources for you. Call 780-532-3580 and press 0. You will need your library card for this option.
3. You can download the Grande Prairie Public Library's free app, GPPL2GO, from the app store. Using your username or barcode and password, you can log into the app to renew your resources, search the catalogue, check the library hours and much more.
Please keep in mind the following guidelines:
Renewals are not possible on materials that have holds.
Library due dates are part of a borrowing system. Fines are charged by libraries for overdue materials. The FLRC is unable to waive fines.
The first loan period for a FLRC item is six weeks. The six week loan period may be requested at your library’s circulation desk when the material is checked out. (It is not assumed that you wish to have a six week loan. That must be requested.) Each of the two additional renewal periods is for three weeks only. The total loan period available is twelve weeks.
The AIM kits have loan periods that are 84 days in length with two 84 day renewals available. The Ma classe kits have loan periods that are 84 days in length with one 84 day renewal.
If you require assistance outside these situations, contact the French Language Resource Centre.
